The head of the State Financial Monitoring Service of Ukraine, Philip Pronin, announced the discovery of a large-scale scheme to circumvent sanctions and finance terrorism. According to the agency, more than $13 million passed through the crypto account of one Ukrainian citizen, of which $3.5 million was linked to sanctioned Russian services and Iranian military structures.
The subject of the investigation currently resides in an EU country. The movement of funds in his account showed signs of an unlicensed exchange of virtual assets: money was transferred from outside the account and transferred almost immediately without any trading or investment.
