Brad Garlinghouse, chief executive of Ripple, joined the inaugural meeting of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s Innovation Advisory Committee on Friday, describing the gathering as “the Olympic roster of crypto” even as he noted the heavy presence of traditional financial institutions in the room.
