Pi Network’s coin climbed towards $0.11 on August 11, the deadline for Mainnet nodes to adopt Protocol v26.
The move did not last, as PI later returned to $0.08771, despite the increase in market activity.
Pi Network advances Protocol v26 transition
The Pi Core Team gave node operators until August 11 to install the new upgrade, with those still running on the old one at risk of being disconnected from the network.
That deadline has now passed, but the team is yet to announce whether the network-wide transition is complete.
The new upgrade introduces several infrastructure changes, including safety improvements covering contracts, state, and interoperability. It also prepares Pi Network for v27, which is the final upgrade that the project…
