Tyler Williams, counselor for digital assets to US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, joined Hogan Lovells Cadwalader’s government relations and public affairs practice in Washington as a senior adviser, the firm said Thursday.

Williams, who was previously the global head of public policy and regulatory counsel at Galaxy Digital, was a point-person at Treasury on crypto and blockchain policy, helping to implement last year’s stablecoin law, known as the Genius Act. He was also involved in talks over a landmark crypto regulatory measure, the Clarity Act, a huge priority for the industry that is stalled in the Senate.
