For President Donald Trump, supporting cryptocurrency and managing a crypto portfolio aren’t the same thing. He says he’s all for the asset class—but leaves his own investments to his children and doesn’t even ask what they’re buying.
“I’m very much for crypto. It’s not a question of a personal thing because I let my kids do whatever the hell they do,” Trump told reporters at a White House event launching Trump Accounts in July. “I don’t talk to them ever about it. I’m allowed to. I think I’m allowed to. But I don’t bother because this office is a much higher calling.”
