Emirates has introduced cryptocurrency payments for flight bookings, enabling eligible UAE customers to use Crypto.com Pay for purchases in UAE dirhams (AED) made through the airline’s website and mobile app.
Customers with an account on the platform can select the payment option at checkout. Mobile users are redirected to approve the transaction, while desktop users can scan a QR code before receiving their booking confirmation and e-ticket.
The launch builds on a partnership announced in July 2025 and is supported by the provider’s Dubai entity, which became the first Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) licenced by the Central Bank of the UAE under its Stored Value Facilities (SVF) framework. It also aligns with Dubai’s…
