Financial losses suffered due to cryptocurrency hacks topped $1 billion U.S. in this year’s first half, according to a report by Blockaid.
The new report calls the first half of 2026 the “most-hacked half-year on record.”
Hackers were responsible for the largest share of money stolen from cryptocurrency accounts and wallets during the first six months of the year, totaling nearly $600 million U.S. in losses.
