Former finance director Brendan Gunn has been sentenced after pleading guilty to dealing with more than $180,000 that was reasonably suspected to be the proceeds of crime linked to an international cryptocurrency investment scam targeting Australians.

Gunn was sentenced in the Local Court of NSW to 12 months’ imprisonment – the maximum sentence available for this offence – but was released immediately upon entering into a recognisance of $3,000 requiring he be of good behaviour for 12 months.
