Crypto Market Cap Hits Lowest Since 2024

  • Total crypto market cap fell 12.6% to $2.1 trillion in Q2 2026.
  • Stablecoin market cap declined for the first time since Q3 2023.
  • Exchange trading volumes dropped sharply while prediction markets surged 48.7%.

Total crypto market capitalization fell 12.6%, or $304.8 billion, in the second quarter of 2026, closing the period at $2.1 trillion, according to CoinGecko’s 2026 Q2 Crypto Industry Report.

It was the market’s third straight quarterly decline and its lowest level since September 2024, roughly 52% below October 2025’s peak.
