Crypto ETFs tumble as funds among the worst FY26 performers

Crypto ETF assets under management fell by 24 per cent during FY26, according to Cboe, as eight funds lost more than 39 per cent over the year.

At the end of June 2026, they had $613.6 million in AUM which was a decline of $194 million from $807 million a year ago.

Yearly flows stood at $325 million with just $13.5 million flowing into the products in June.

This makes the second-smallest ETP asset class, ahead only of currencies ETPs which have $85 million.

Looking at the lowest absolute performance, eight of the top 10 funds were crypto vehicles with all of them losing more than 39 per cent and four losing more than 48 per cent.
