KUALA LUMPUR (May 28): Homegrown digital asset exchange Sinegy DAX Sdn Bhd has embedded the Bitcoin Lightning Network into its platform, allowing users to send and receive bitcoin in seconds.

The Lightning Network is a layer built on top of bitcoin that enables faster and cheaper transactions by processing payments outside the main blockchain, helping reduce network congestion.

Conventional bitcoin transfers can take between 30 minutes and an hour to settle, but transactions conducted through the Lightning Network can be completed within seconds, making them more suitable for retail payments and real-time fund transfers.
