A substantial share of senior officials in President Donald Trump’s administration have invested in cryptocurrency or blockchain-related assets, according to an analysis.
The Washington Post reported on May 17 that it reviewed about 300 senior administration officials and nominees and found roughly 70 had disclosed investments in cryptocurrencies or companies tied to blockchain. That represents more than 20% of those surveyed.
The disclosed crypto-related holdings totaled at least $193 million.
