In the first 24 days of April, cryptocurrency protocols experienced losses exceeding $606 million due to hacks and exploits, according to a report from Yahoo Finance. This marks the worst month for theft since a February 2025 incident involving Bybit that resulted in the loss of $1.4 billion. Two separate attacks were responsible for 95% of the damage this month: one occurred on April 1 within a project in the Solana ecosystem, and the other took place on April 18 within a project in the Ethereum ecosystem.
