REPORTS from crypto asset service providers can play a key role in criminal investigations, according to FIU Netherlands, which highlighted a case involving suspected money laundering through cryptocurrency.
A crypto provider flagged a customer who received large amounts of cryptocurrency and transferred them into a personal bank account. Because the transactions exceeded €10,000, the firm submitted an “objective report” to FIU Netherlands, the watchdog said.
