A platform tied to a Dallas homebuilder launched a crypto-backed payment and rewards program that could be a pathway for homebuilders into the world of cryptocurrency.

MegPrime, a payment platform powered by its own digital currency, launched its app and incentive program on Wednesday.

The incentive program offers incentives up to $15,000 to homebuyers while their home is under construction. The program uses cryptocurrency as an interface in one of the first instances of cryptocurrency being used by a homebuilder in this way.
