G. Love, the relaxed, feel-good singer-songwriter, fell victim to a hack that drained a retirement savings account, according to a post he made on X/Twitter.
The musician, born Garrett Dutton, lost about 5.92 Bitcoin worth nearly $424,000, according to Gizmodo, which cited a probe by blockchain investigator ZachXBT.

Dutton said his cryptocurrency stores were raided after he downloaded what he thought was the Ledger app, which allows users to manage crypto, from the Apple App Store. He actually downloaded a fake, malicious app that looked like Ledger, which opened up his account to scammers. Dutton revealed he had been saving the Bitcoin for 10 years.
