Cause of Donald Trump’s ABC spat revealed as questions over crypto wealth
The White House lawn clash between Donald Trump and the ABC was sparked by multiple questions into the Trump family’s growing cryptocurrency wealth.
Monday night’s edition of the ABC’s Four Corners program adds to reporting from the New York Times, about the largest ever cryptocurrency transaction, which went from the UAE to a crypto exchange, through the Trump family’s World Liberty Financial platform.
A clash between ABC reporter John Lyons and the US President last month made headlines, as questions about Mr Trump’s wealth were met with a claim the reporter was “hurting” Australia”.
