PayPal Launches Peer-to-peer “Links” With Crypto Support

PayPal has unveiled a new peer-to-peer service that blends messaging with payments, allowing users to send money as seamlessly as dropping a link into a chat.

On September 15, the payments giant introduced PayPal Links, a one-time personalized link that can be shared in text threads, direct messages, or emails to send or request funds. The program, aimed at making money transfers faster and simpler, will roll out first to 278 million U.S. customers before expanding to the United Kingdom, Italy, and other international markets later this month.
