Maven Renovar board eyes VCT investment strategy change

Earlier this month shareholders of Maven Renovar VCT voted against a motion by former manager Paul Jourdan of Amati Global Investors to elect him and three new directors to the board.

Jourdan, who had his contract terminated early, does not “plan to be involved in any further requisitions”. But shareholders may have more important decisions to make as Maven Renovar’s board hopes to change the venture capital trust’s investment strategy and make a tender offer.

After a strategic review last year following a period of poor performance, the board of Amati Aim VCT — as it was known at the time — announced plans to invest more in unquoted companies while continuing to invest in Aim and Aquis Stock Exchange-quoted companies.
