Crypto ETP providers eye UK listings after FCA U-turn
A handful of crypto ETP providers are considering UK listings after the regulator lifted its ban on retail access to the product class.
VanEck, DWS, HANetf and Deutsche Digital Assets are among those now evaluating the opportunity in the UK while Swiss asset manager Valour, which already has one UK-listed exchange-traded product (ETP), is interested in listing additional products “if demand is there,” a company spokesperson told ETF Stream.
UK investors were prohibited from buying crypto ETPs in early 2021 with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) warning that consumers “should be prepared to lose all their money”.
