‘Clients will invest in crypto with or without you’
Advisers need to be on the front foot with crypto investing as clients will take the plunge either way, according to Colin Morris, investment manager at Parmenion.
Morris, who introduced himself as Crypto Colin, said the majority (70 per cent) of advisers have been asked by their clients about cryptocurrency.
He said: “Almost half of these clients plan to invest in crypto by themselves without advice which is pretty worrying.”
Morris said it was important for advisers to manage the expectations of their clients when having conversations about crypto assets.
