Crypto bigwig surrenders to NYPD for questioning in sick SoHo torture case: sources

The crypto trader sought in the horrific torture of an Italian bitcoin dealer in a posh SoHo townhouse surrendered to cops Tuesday — after living it up in the Hamptons over the holiday weekend, law-enforcement sources told The Post.

William Duplessie, 33, of Miami, Fla., showed up at the 13th Precinct in Manhattan around 7:45 a.m. — and was led out in cuffs several hours later, looking sullen and refusing to answer reporters’ questions as he and his police escort headed to court.

The suspect — dressed in a long-sleeve white polo shirt, black slacks and loafers with no socks — was charged with assault, kidnapping, unlawful imprisonment and criminal possession of a firearm, police said.
