All of the news about tariffs is rattling investors and tanking the stock market.

President Donald Trump’s reciprocal tariffs on numerous countries are set to go into effect on April 9. On Monday, Trump also threatened an additional 50% tariff on imports from China. This is on top of the tariffs the administration has already imposed, including a 20% tariff on China, 25% tariff on foreign cars and auto parts and 10% tariff on all imported goods. Because tariffs often lead to higher costs for consumers and can make markets more unpredictable, that’s led to massive panic and sell-offs within the stock market
