Police arrest fake Uber driver for stealing $300k in Crypto
Arizona police have arrested a fake Uber driver on charges of stealing more than $300,000 in cryptocurrency from unwitting passengers. He pretended to be an Uber driver and used to target drunk or distracted individuals.
As per the Fox10Phoenix report, Nuruhussein Hussein, the accused driver, is now on felony charges of theft, fraud and money laundering, Scottsdale Police Department said in a statement.
According to police, the suspect used advanced techniques to access the cryptocurrency applications, by stealing private keys and making unofficial transactions.
