This is what the traffic on the M5 at Exeter (junction 30) looks like this morning nearly 24 hours after horrendous queues stretching back “50 miles” brought the motorway to a standstill.
Footage from cameras on the motorway show several vehicles travelling into the region while Highway England’s “live traffic map” details small sections of congestion near Junction 30 – but it’s nothing like yesterday’s mammoth traffic queues as tourists headed to Devon and Cornwall.
