In a release, U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut David Sullivan said 32-year-old Sedric Louis, 34-year-old John Davis and 27-year-old Martel Williams, all from St. Louis, were charged for their alleged roles in the botched scheme.
Sullivan said the individuals who coordinated the attempted robbery wanted to steal some of that Bitcoin. He said they first recruited Louis, Davis and Williams to carry out the plan.
Between about Aug. 21 and Aug. 24 of 2024, Sullivan said, the trio and others traveled to Connecticut and obtained rental vehicles and supplies, including air rifles and walkie talkies.
